The European Innovation Scoreboard provides a comparative assessment of the research and innovation performance of EU Member States, other European countries, and global competitors from 2017 to 2024.
This interactive tool allows you to choose the countries to analyse, the year to assess, and the year to compare. It also allows you to visualise the scores for each year using bar charts, or the change in score between two given years using arrow charts.
Note that all EIS scores are indexed to the performance of the EU in 2017, unless stated otherwise. Consequently, the results shown here cannot be compared to those in last year’s report or the previous version of this online tool. To assess performance over time, use the tool’s interactive features.
